Steady Flow of New Uploaded Veteran Oral History Interviews

Consistent with our 2023 Goals, we have rolled up our sleeves and are hard at work editing and uploading the existing catalog of recorded Veteran oral history interviews. Now available are the interviews of WWII Veteran Jack Appel, Viet Nam Veteran Jerry Bond, WWII Veteran Bill Byers, Operation Desert Storm Veteran Emily Caudil, and Viet Nam and Iraq War Veteran Cynthia Christensen.

Likewise, we have updated our website to make it faster and more responsive to showcase all of the great interviews that are coming. You can see the most recently uploaded interviews here on this website under Veteran Oral History Interviews.

We hope to have all of the Veteran oral history interviews available on this website by the end of the year. Please visit our Making History Project YouTube Channel and subscribe for automatic updates when new interviews are available.

At the same time, the Intern Team is creating a chronological index for each interview for the topics the Veteran discusses. All of this, with supporting documentation, is needed for the final archive product with the Veterans History Project in the U.S. Library of Congress.

Stay tuned for more updates. Please contact us if you are or know of a Veteran that would like to preserve the stories from their military service for family and the U.S. Library of Congress. Our mission is to leave no Veteran behind.
